Australian Gas Networks (AGN) developed its hydrogen projects in Queensland. According to AGN’s new projects, $ 4.2 million hydrogen plant was established in Gladstone, on the state’s central coast.
This hydrogen plant will be the first renewable hydrogen production system which can supply up to 10% blended hydrogen across the city’s total 770 residential and industrial customers.
As mentioned by Australian Gas Network’s CEO, Ben Wilson, using hydrogen as another local energy arm will generate new job, education, workplace training and regional economic growth opportunities.
Since the project was in line with clean energy targets, it has gotten $1.78 million grand funding from the Queensland $15 million hydrogen industry development plan.
