Despite COVID-19 pandemic challenges, Australian Energy Market Operators (AEMO) released 2020 Gas Statement of Opportunities (GSOO). According to the GSOO, the industry continues its efforts to supply more gas for the domestic market until 2023.
Facing COVID-19 pandemic, made the industries gas delivery operations more essential. As mentioned by GSOO supplying demands until 2024 requires more investments to use existing resources and adding new resources of supply. Due to the decreases of oil prices which caused by COVID-19 pandemic, the gas demand and supply face new challenges which alert government to develop new gas supplies and resources in the least possible time.
